Terms & Conditions

The fine print, kept plain.

Last updated: 30 May 2026

Welcome to Spent! These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Spent mobile app and this website (together, the “Service”), operated by Eduardo Ozanan Correia, the developer of Spent (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Using Spent

Spent is provided for your personal, lawful use. You agree not to misuse the Service, interfere with its normal operation, or attempt to access it in ways other than the interface we provide.

2. No account, your responsibility

Spent does not require an account. Because your data lives on your device and your private iCloud, keeping your device and Apple ID secure is your responsibility. We can't recover data we never hold.

3. Your content

The expenses and information you enter are yours. We don't claim ownership of your content and we don't access it. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you record.

4. Financial information

Spent is a tracking and budgeting tool, not financial, accounting or tax advice. Figures shown are based on the data you provide and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional advice or your official statements.

5. Subscription & purchases

Spent requires an active subscription to use. All purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system and are subject to Apple's terms, conditions and payment processing. Prices and availability may change. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies.

Auto-renewal. Spent subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, as selected) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your Apple ID will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the price confirmed at the time of purchase. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's App Store account settings under Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not entitle you to a refund for the current period.

6. iCloud sync

Spent uses Apple iCloud to sync your data across devices and enable shared wallets. iCloud is not required to use the app — all core features work without it. However, without iCloud enabled, your data will not be preserved if you uninstall the app, and shared wallets will not be available.

We do not store or access your personal data. All data is stored privately on your device and, when iCloud is enabled, in your personal iCloud account.

7. Intellectual property

The Spent name, logo, app and website design are owned by us and protected by law. You may not copy, modify or distribute them without permission.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that automatic categorisation will always be correct. Categorisation is powered by AI and, like all AI, it can make mistakes — always review your transactions.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll revise the date above, and continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Apple App Store — additional terms

The following terms apply because Spent is distributed through Apple's App Store. You acknowledge and agree that:
